A professional dog groomer for 16 years, I realised one very important thing;

I burned out in 2016, sold my business (but in all honesty, I was nearing the stage that sale or no sale, I wanted out) and I took time away from grooming.
When I returned, a mum of two, I did things so differently.
I created professional boundaries, and kept my values of work/life balance and career enjoyment front and centre at all times.
And yes, I also charged professional prices and earned enough to be financially independent of my partner, should I want to be.
How many female dog groomers still can't say that? How many are working full time hours yet still couldn't afford financial independence if needed?
We are worth so much more, individually and as an industry.
Every mistake I ever made has now become a lesson.
Every time a customer treated me like a "bored housewife" in a shed, has now become motivation.
I'm on a mission to help every dog groomer reading this, who sometimes feels it's all "too much" to know you are not alone!
